Orders & Pricing
Product availability, pricing, shipping, taxes, and lead times can change. Errors may be corrected and an order may require additional review.
These Terms & Conditions explain the rules that apply when you use the Coplites website, maintain an account, submit an order, purchase merchandise, or otherwise interact with Coplites LLC.
These summaries are provided for convenience. The complete sections below control if a summary and the detailed language differ.
Product availability, pricing, shipping, taxes, and lead times can change. Errors may be corrected and an order may require additional review.
Payment may be collected at checkout or requested later when freight, tax-exemption review, or an order adjustment requires additional handling.
Orders may ship in more than one shipment. Returns require authorization and can be subject to product-specific restrictions.
Customers are responsible for verifying compatibility and for lawful purchase, installation, configuration, and use of the products they select.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your access to and use of the Coplites website and to transactions, accounts, orders, and customer-service interactions conducted through the website with Coplites LLC ("Coplites," "we," "us," or "our").
By using this website, creating an account, submitting an order, or purchasing merchandise through Coplites, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the website to place an order or create an account.
Additional terms may be presented for a particular product, quotation, payment request, promotion, service, return authorization, or other transaction. If a specific written term provided by Coplites conflicts with these general Terms for that transaction, the more specific written term controls for that transaction.
You are responsible for providing accurate information when creating an account, checking out, contacting us, or submitting documents. Keep your sign-in credentials confidential and notify Coplites promptly if you believe your account or email address has been used without authorization.
You may not use the website to commit fraud, impersonate another person or organization, interfere with website operation, bypass access controls or security measures, introduce malicious code, probe or attack the website, submit intentionally false information, or engage in unlawful activity.
Automated scraping, harvesting, bulk extraction, or other systematic collection of website content or data is prohibited without prior written authorization from Coplites, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
Coplites may restrict or suspend website or account access when reasonably necessary to protect customers, the website, Coplites, or third parties; investigate suspected abuse or fraud; comply with law; or address a material violation of these Terms.
The ordering workflow can differ depending on shipping requirements, tax-exemption review, product availability, and changes made to an order after it is created.
Submitting an order creates an order record and a request for Coplites to supply the selected merchandise. An automatically generated order number, account display, or electronic communication confirms that we received the order information; it does not prevent Coplites from reviewing the order for payment, availability, pricing, shipping, fraud, legal restrictions, or other fulfillment issues.
Coplites may decline or cancel an order, in whole or in part, when we cannot reasonably fulfill it or when an error or other material issue is identified. If Coplites cancels merchandise after collecting payment for that merchandise, any refund due will be processed using the applicable payment workflow.
Prices, option charges, shipping charges, taxes, promotions, specifications, and availability shown on the website may change. We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information, but typographical, catalog, pricing, configuration, or calculation errors can occur.
If a material pricing or configuration error is identified before fulfillment, Coplites may correct the error, contact you with revised information, request additional payment when appropriate, or cancel the affected portion of the order and refund amounts paid for the cancelled merchandise as applicable.
Online card payments are processed through Square. Coplites may also support other payment methods or administrative payment arrangements when offered for a particular order.
Some orders are paid during checkout. Other orders may be created without immediate payment, including orders awaiting a freight quote or tax-exemption review. Coplites may send a secure payment request after the amount due is determined or may issue a revised payment request if an order change creates a new balance.
You are responsible for ensuring that the payment information you provide is authorized for use and that amounts legitimately due on the order are paid according to the applicable payment request.
Applicable sales or similar taxes are calculated based on the information available to Coplites and the rules configured for the transaction. If you request tax-exempt treatment, you are responsible for providing accurate and valid supporting information and documentation.
A tax-exemption request may place the order on review before payment is collected. Coplites may approve or reject the request based on the documentation provided and may collect applicable tax when an exemption cannot be validated.
If products, quantities, options, custom pricing, shipping charges, taxes, or other order details are changed after creation, the amount paid or amount remaining due may also change. Coplites may communicate the revised balance and, when necessary, issue a new payment request or refund.
Additional details are available on our Shipping & Ordering Information page.
Contact Coplites as soon as possible if you need to request an order change or cancellation. Whether a change or cancellation can be completed depends on the order status and whether merchandise has already been ordered, configured, processed, shipped, or otherwise committed with a manufacturer, distributor, supplier, or carrier.
Returns require authorization from Coplites before merchandise is sent back. Qualifying return requests must generally be initiated within 14 calendar days after delivery to the destination. Exceptions may be approved by Coplites in limited circumstances, but they are uncommon and are not guaranteed. Return eligibility can also depend on product condition, packaging, installation or use, manufacturer or supplier restrictions, customization or configuration, and the reason for the return.
Qualifying returns are subject to a standard 20% restocking fee. Certain products may be subject to a higher restocking fee based on the item or applicable manufacturer, distributor, or supplier requirements; any higher fee will be communicated during the return review.
Items that arrive damaged are handled on an exchange-only basis rather than as standard returns for refund. Damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments should be reported promptly. Keep the merchandise, packaging, shipping labels, and related materials until Coplites has reviewed the issue and provided instructions.
Review the Returns, RMA & Warranty Information page before initiating a return or warranty request.
Coplites sells specialized equipment from multiple manufacturers. Product selection, installation, and use can involve technical and legal considerations outside the website.
Product descriptions, part numbers, photographs, drawings, dimensions, specifications, compatibility information, downloadable documents, and manufacturer materials are provided to help you evaluate products. Manufacturers may revise products or documentation, and reasonable differences can occur between a photograph or description and the merchandise supplied.
Before ordering, verify critical dimensions, electrical requirements, compatibility, certifications, options, part numbers, and other requirements that matter to your installation or intended use. Contact Coplites if you need clarification before placing the order.
Some products require technical knowledge, vehicle-specific planning, programming, electrical work, fabrication, or professional installation. Unless Coplites expressly agrees in writing to provide installation or engineering services for a particular transaction, the customer is responsible for determining how the product will be installed and configured.
Follow applicable manufacturer instructions, safety information, electrical requirements, vehicle-manufacturer guidance, and professional practices.
Some emergency vehicle, warning, signaling, communications, lighting, or related products may be regulated or restricted depending on the purchaser, jurisdiction, vehicle, installation, or intended use. Availability on the Coplites website is not a representation that a product is lawful for every person, vehicle, location, or purpose.
You are responsible for determining and complying with laws, regulations, agency rules, licensing requirements, vehicle codes, and other requirements applicable to your purchase, possession, installation, configuration, or use of a product.
Many products sold by Coplites are covered by warranties provided by their manufacturers. Warranty duration, exclusions, remedies, troubleshooting requirements, and claim procedures vary by manufacturer and product.
Coplites can assist with identifying an appropriate warranty path for merchandise purchased from us. Nothing in these Terms is intended to disclaim, waive, or limit a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be disclaimed, waived, or limited.
You may provide information, documents, photographs, profile images, tax-exemption records, return information, messages, or other materials through the website or related customer-service processes. You represent that you have the right to provide those materials and that doing so does not violate applicable law or another party's rights.
You grant Coplites a non-exclusive permission to store, reproduce, transmit, review, and use those materials only as reasonably necessary to operate the website, maintain your account, process or fulfill transactions, provide customer service, evaluate tax or return requests, prevent fraud, comply with law, or otherwise carry out the purpose for which you submitted them.
Personal information contained in these materials is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Unless otherwise indicated, the Coplites website design, original text, graphics, branding, logos, software, databases, and other original website materials are owned by or licensed to Coplites and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Manufacturer names, logos, product photographs, technical documents, trademarks, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on the website does not transfer ownership to Coplites or to website users.
You may view and use the website for legitimate personal, business, purchasing, and product-evaluation purposes. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, sublicense, modify, or commercially exploit substantial portions of Coplites-owned website content without authorization, except as permitted by law.
Coplites uses or interacts with independent service providers for functions such as payment processing, shipping, email delivery, security, hosting, and manufacturer or distributor services. Third-party services may be governed by their own terms, privacy policies, service levels, and operational requirements.
The website may also link to manufacturer websites, technical documents, carrier resources, or other external websites. Coplites does not control the content, availability, privacy practices, or security of independent third-party websites and is not responsible for changes made to those services by their operators.
We work to keep the website accurate, secure, and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, technical failures, internet outages, third-party service interruptions, security events, or other circumstances may temporarily affect website functions.
Except for warranties or obligations expressly provided by Coplites in writing and rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law, the website and its informational content are provided on an "as available" basis. Product information should not be treated as professional engineering, legal, regulatory, or installation advice for a particular application.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Coplites will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising solely from website use, website unavailability, or delays or failures caused by independent carriers, manufacturers, payment providers, network providers, or other third parties outside Coplites' reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, warranties, remedies, or other rights to the extent that applicable law does not permit them to be excluded or limited.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the website, your material breach of these Terms, or materials you submit in violation of another party's rights. This provision does not require you to indemnify Coplites for conduct for which indemnification cannot lawfully be required.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where another law must apply. Nothing in these Terms restricts any non-waivable right you may have under applicable consumer-protection or other law.
Coplites may update these Terms as the website, business practices, products, services, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated Effective / Last Updated date. Changes apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.
If a provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
A delay or failure by Coplites to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce that provision or another provision later.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms in a manner that would impose obligations on Coplites without our consent. Coplites may transfer its rights or obligations as part of a merger, reorganization, sale of the business or assets, or other lawful business transaction.
These Terms, together with any transaction-specific terms and the policies referenced here, constitute the agreement governing the subjects they address and supersede prior website terms covering the same subjects.
If you have a question about these Terms & Conditions, an order, or how a particular policy applies to your purchase, contact us through the website or at [email protected].
